Melbourne Live Flashback: Spider Goat Canyon

Spider Goat Canyon–formerly a three-piece but now a hard-hitting, brain-meltingly good two-piece of bass and drums–is a much-loved fixture of the Melbourne underground scene.

The band has a new record in the works called Buttondemasu that’s keenly anticipated by fans of experimental, explorative instrumental music.

As a bit of a primer for the new album, let’s rewind 10 years and revisit the band’s live recording at the Duke of Windsor in 2004, taken from their Moments in Time: 2003–2014 compilation album and the track Jizz Bottla. Incredible stuff.
