Get your ugly goldbricking arse out of my beach community

So I was playing around with iMovie and this is my first attempt at a slide show.

The quality went to the shitter when I transformed it into a .mov file, so if anyone knows what I did wrong, let me know.

The first part of the movie shows our trip to Hokkaido and Gifu and the rest is general stuff close to home.

I hope you like it.

PS. I know there are many long, lingering shots of me on this, but Shizuka is the only one who gets it together enough to dig a camera out and as such most of our photographs seem to be of me. Sorry about that.

Hey there fellow iLifer,

1. Did you use iMovie or iMovie HD?

2. How did you 'export' the movie?

3. Did you get 'export' options ie for quicktime, web, email, camera etc?

*Try exporting it using quicktime at cd-rom quality. And make sure you have all updates for quicktime and iMovie.

yeah I went to 'file' and then 'share' and picked it for Quicktime, exported it to the desktop and then put it on youtube.

I basically haven't the faintest what I am doing. I think it's just standard iMovie. I don't know how to make it hi-res. The audio also became fucked up.

Any tips?

It may be the resolution of your photos. Does it look ok before you put it on youtube?

If you choose to export using quicktime you should also get some quality options.

Did it fully render?

You totally should have called it "Lots of snow and fish... and a few crazy shots of me with shaggy hair".

Awesome.

Got your emule. I am working on a reply.

mang, the res is cool. 3 to 4 meg per pic. It looked no probs in iMovie but went to shit once on youtube. I will look into the qual options.

As I said I have no idea.

And Noodle, I am back to a number one my friend. I think it was an Ian Moss song that refered to 'years ago'. Post something here for yourself you fuck, you write like ten bastards and yet you are a no show. I'll sic SGS onto you soon if you don't wake up to yourself.

Chuck, I am back in Melbourne in July, do you think this could be the time for the epic SGS song? Mushroom Giant have a studio you know...

... post something on here, but it seems I've lost the emule with all the destrutions on how to do it. Got me a case of the "Fitzes", as it were - yessir I am a fuck-up...

Anyway, check out this Rollins, early 90's vintage. This song changed my life!

I did it all over last night when I was pizzed and upped the ante on the quality front and resposted. It looks better and sounds better I think. You Tube still only gives about 60% of what I see straight from the program, but I guess that's compression for you.

Anybody else want to have a crack at this? Chuck?

Noodz, I remember seeing this on Rage when I was a little tiker and it scared the shit out of me.

Love it.

Anybody recommend a Black Flag album? I always wanted to buy in but never did.

You can just copy the script which says 'embed' on the right hand side of the you tube vid and paste it straight into the comments and it'll appear good as gold. Better than a URL I reckon. But you're obviously not a golfer.

I love pavement
